1. Definitions
"Service" refers to the legal advisory and representation services provided by juriswela. "User" or "you" refers to any individual or entity accessing our website or engaging our services. "We", "us", or "our" refers to juriswela, a legal practice operating from 5 Jalan Kia Peng, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. "Website" refers to the website accessible at https://juriswela.club. "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any engagement letter or service agreement entered into between you and juriswela.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or engage our services. You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. Description of Services
juriswela provides legal services in three practice areas: cross-border trade and investment advisory, strata title and management corporation advisory, and sports and entertainment law. Our services are available to clients in Malaysia and, for cross-border matters, to parties in other jurisdictions as appropriate. The specific scope, terms, and fees for each engagement are defined in an individual engagement letter or service agreement.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our website, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others. You agree not to misrepresent your identity or affiliation, not to submit false or misleading information through our contact forms, not to attempt to access any restricted areas of the website, and not to use any content from our website without written permission.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, design, logos, and other materials, is the property of juriswela and is protected under Malaysian intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent. Viewing the website grants you a non-transferable, revocable licence to access it for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
6. Engagement Terms
A solicitor-client relationship with juriswela is established only upon execution of a written engagement letter or service agreement. Submitting a contact form or making a telephone enquiry does not, on its own, create a solicitor-client relationship. Engagement terms, including scope, fees, and expected timelines, will be set out clearly before work commences.
7. Fees and Payment
Fees for our services are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and will be communicated to you in writing before work begins. Payment terms are specified in the individual engagement letter. We may require a deposit or retainer before commencing certain work. Any additional costs that arise during an engagement will be communicated promptly. Late payments may incur interest as specified in the engagement letter.
8. Confidentiality
All information shared between you and juriswela in the course of a legal engagement is subject to solicitor-client privilege and will be treated as confidential. We will not disclose your information to any third party except as required by law, with your express consent, or as necessary to carry out the work you have instructed us to perform.
9. Disclaimers
The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. No reliance should be placed on the information contained on this website without first seeking specific professional counsel. While we strive to keep the information current and accurate, we make no representations about the completeness or suitability of the content for any particular purpose.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, juriswela's liability arising from any engagement or use of this website shall be limited to the fees paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This limitation does not affect any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate a legal engagement by providing written notice to the other party, subject to the terms of the relevant engagement letter. Upon termination, you remain responsible for fees accrued up to the date of termination. We will return your documents and files upon request, subject to any outstanding fees.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or from any legal engagement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, with venue in Kuala Lumpur unless otherwise agreed.
13. General Provisions
These Terms and Conditions, together with any applicable engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and juriswela regarding the subject matter herein. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of that right. These terms may not be assigned by you without our written consent.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the website or our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
